Festival of Wings 2011
The migration of birds is back. This annual phenomenon involves dozens of species flying from their wintering homes, crossing seas and continents to warmer climates. Besides birds, come visit the amazing fireflies and many species of butterflies at Kuala Selangor. This is the time and place to witness this natural occurrence like never before.
The Malaysian Nature Society (MNS) and Kuala Selangor Nature Park (KSNP) celebrates this annual event to promote the importance of birds as natural indicators of our planet’s environmental health. As a premier eco-tourism site in Selangor, the event also aims to create an awareness of the environment and as this year is aptly declared as the International Year of Forests by the UN.
The 2-day Festival of Wings 2011 is all about fun filled nature themed activities tailored for participants of all ages. Among other exciting activities that await you are drawing and coloring contest for kids, face painting, exhibitions and talks on the importance of mangroves and birds.
